How To Consciously Feel Better

Emotions are one of the best ways to tell how and where our energy is vibrating. Low energy is usually accompanied by low feelings, and although it may seem difficult to control the way we feel, there are practical and useful techniques that we can use to help us learn to feel better.

Our feelings are usually a result of the thoughts that are swirling around in our mind. Feelings can also be a result of empathic tendencies to take on the thoughts and vibration of others. Wherever our feelings our stemming from, we cannot shift them unless we become consciously observant and identify the emotions we’re experiencing in the first place.

The Emotional Guidance Scale is a tool that supports the practice of consciously raising your vibration through emotional awareness. This scale, created by Abraham-Hicks, is a map of our emotions represented as a spiral. As our emotions shift, our energetic vibration shifts as well, moving us up and down the spiral scale accordingly. Lower emotions shift our vibration down, while higher emotions shift our vibration up. This is a valuable consciousness tool because our energetic vibration is always attracting people, things, and experiences that are vibrating at the same frequency into our lives.

How To Use The Emotional Guidance Scale To Feel Better

First, identify the emotion or feeling that you’re currently experiencing and find it’s placement on the scale.

  • Perhaps you’re feeling depressed about not getting hired for a job you really wanted - Depression - #22

Then, look at the two or three emotions that are vibrating just above your current feeling or emotion. (Unworthiness #21, Jealousy #20 & Rage #19)

Next, allow yourself to find a better feeling thought that vibrates slightly higher with the emotions next up on the scale. Reach for the emotions closest to your current feeling instead of trying to jump a large number of emotions. This will allow you to more easily and realistically begin to FEEL better.

  • Maybe you begin to think about how you didn’t deserve the job anyway because you’re not good enough - Unworthiness #21

  • Then you start to feel envious of the person who gets to have the job you wanted - Jealousy #20

  • And that makes you feel enraged - Rage #19

Even though you may not have reached the point of contentment, optimism, or joy yet...you have successfully raised your energetic vibration by simply choosing to think better feeling thoughts.

Then, Continue moving slowly up the scale, step-by-step, until you reach a vibrational place and emotion that feels good to you.

  • You may become angry that you didn’t get the job - Anger #17

  • Blame yourself or someone else for not being prepared - Blame #15

  • Start to worry about what you’re going to do now - Worry #14

  • Become Disappointed - #12, Overwhelmed - #11, and Frustrated - #10

  • And decide it’s not worth it to keep trying to change something you have no control over - Contentment - #7

  • There are plenty of jobs available, and you will look for new job opportunities in the morning - Hopefulness - #6 & Optimism - #5

  • The right job for you is still out there and what is meant for you cannot pass you by - Positive Expectation Belief - #4

The Emotional Guidance Scale is best used to help us gradually feel better by taking into realistic consideration our human emotions. It is a rare occurrence that we move from a very low vibrating emotion to a very high vibrating emotion in one step. We are humans and need to feel in order to release and rise. Working with the scale will help you choose more positive thoughts, and allow you to take the steps you need to vibrate higher and consciously feel better.
